Several AJDC members won prestigious awards in 2021.
Three AJDC members won the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) Spectrum Awards.
Adam Neeley, Adam Neeley Fine Art Jewelry won Best in Show for his 14K rose and white gold “Galassia” earrings featuring specialty-cut Tanzanites (24.84 ctw.) accented with Akoya cultured Pearls and Diamonds (4.04 tw.).
Susan Helmich, Somewhere in the Rainbow won Second Place in Bridal Wear for her “Double Bubble” Platinum and 18K yellow gold earrings featuring buff-top round Morganites (19.10 ctw.) and Diamonds (1.58 ctw.).
Scott Keating, Somewhere In The Rainbow won the Best of Single Entries catagory for his 18K yellow gold “Hot Scarab Nights” bracelet featuring specialty-cut blue Zircons (10.12ctw.) and pink Tourmalines (5.66 ctw.) accented with Sapphire melee (1.50 ctw.) and Diamond melee (.32 ctw.).
The Cultured Pearl Association of America’s 2021 International Pearl Design Competition announced that Barbara Heinrich‘s ‘Nest’ earrings won the Lustre Award, Paul Klecka‘s ‘Blue Wave Ring’ won the Spotlight Award – Natural Blue Color Akoya Pearls. Honorable Mentions went to Jane Bohan for her Sky Blue Akoya Pearl necklace, Barbara Heinrich for her Sea Creature brooch, Alishan Halebian for his Sting Ray brooch and to Pamela Froman for her Ombre Wave chocolate Tahitian pearl earrings.
