The Design Process: Phoenix Rises

Marylouise Lugosch | May 22, 2015 |

Follow the creation of Paul Robilotti’s FIRE Project thru a series of photographs. From the early sketch to the finished sculpture, Paul captures the intricacies and labor involved in bringing a design to fruition. Materials include gold casting alloy, a custom glass orb designed by Rick Davis, diamond, citrine, steel and various fly tying materials.

Paul’s project ‘Phoenix’ will be on display at the Couture Show in Las Vegas, May 28 through June 1, 2015, and will be part of ‘Variations on a Theme’ at GIA beginning July 2015.
