BIOGRAPHY
Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Gregore’ Morin became interested in nature and design at an early age, which led him to an apprenticeship in goldsmithing. Gregore’ worked at some of the finest jewelery houses in Vancouver before coming to Santa Barbara to work for Silverhorn Jewelers. It was in Santa Barbara that his distinctive style was born and he won the first of many design awards.
“I believe that jewelery should be more than just a big stone and that it should speak to something in the wearer. I make the work because I have to but it is not really mine; every piece I make needs to have an owner to finish it”.
Gregore’ designs and fabricates all of his limited edition pieces by hand using traditional tools and techniques. His work can be found in museums as well as in the private collections of some of the world’s most famous people. He has been featured in the book “Gemstone Masters”, and his work has graced the cover of JCK Magazine, AJM Magazine, and Prism Magazine.
