BIOGRAPHY
Since childhood Jane has been surrounded by art and creativity. Her mother, a jewelry and metal artisan, shared her passion and encouraged her artistic pursuits. After studying Metalsmithing & Jewelry at RISD, working at the bench in a jeweler store, Jane opened her own workshop in 1983 in the vibrant SoHo neighborhood of New York City.
Jane’s signature is creating detailed patterns, such as alligator skin, pebble grain, centuries-old paisleys and flirty florals in precious metals. Her love of color and her meticulous selection of gemstones & pearls is also evident throughout her collections. Each piece of jewelry is infused with elements of the things Jane loves: architecture and art, nature and culture, fashion and design.
Her heirloom quality jewelry has been exhibited by museums and art galleries, featured in fashion magazines, TV shows and represented by fine jewelry stores across the country. Industry accolades include numerous AGTA Spectrum Awards, World Gold Council, Perles de Tahiti and Platinum Guild International awards.
She is committed to handcrafting her jewelry in America with the talent of NYC artisans. Jane enjoys living in Manhattan with her husband, a television director, and their daughter, a photography student who carries on her family’s creative heritage.
