BIOGRAPHY
Combining a disciplined use of precious materials, simplicity of detail and reflective surfaces PAUL KLECKA creates jewels that are destined to become classics.
My goal is to provide a highly personalized connection with the goal of fulfilling and exceeding design and manufacturing expectations. Inspired jewelry design starts in your mind and ends on your body.
Since 1982 PAUL KLECKA has created innovative and inspired jewelry concepts.
Entering college with highly developed artistic and musical abilities, by his junior year Paul had completed all of the required courses for the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree but had not yet selected a major. Taking a jewelry class as an elective he discovered that the precision of metal techniques coupled with the boundaries imposed by the human form provided a structure that enabled his artistic ideas to blossom, and jewelry became his focus. He continued on to graduate with the Master of Fine Arts Degree in jewelry and metalsmithing.
AWARDS
He has been named DESIGNER OF THE YEAR by the Jewelers of America, winner of multiple De Beers DIAMONDS TODAY and DIAMONDS OF DISTINCTION awards, the AGTA SPECTRUM AWARD for colored gemstone design and the Palladium Alliance/PAI DESIGN COMPETITION.
INDUSTRY SERVICE
PAUL KLECKA has presented educational programs for the AMERICAN GEM SOCIETY, the GEMOLOGICAL INSTITUTE OF AMERICA, PLATINUM GUILD OF AMERICA, PM West’s KRAFTWERKS, Rio Grande’s CLASP and the JCK SHOW.
In addition he has served as a director and committee chairman for the AMERICAN GEM SOCIETY, the AMERICAN JEWELRY DESIGN COUNCIL, and the MANUFACTURING JEWELERS AND SUPPLIERS OF AMERICA.
Now creating innovative products utilizing only the digital design process, PAUL KLECKA has harnessed CAD/CAM technology to develop fresh design concepts not possible to create with traditional jewelry production techniques.
